STRANGE HAZE
...over Charlotte, North Carolina
(weekend of March 20/21, 1999)
SHEILA WRITES: "This past weekend, I was in Charlotte NC, and to my great surprise, I saw a number of contrails being made! They truly were strange.......the entire sky was being criss-crossed with them, many at right angles to others. They seemed to start and stop abruptly.....they did not go from horizon to horizon. They stayed for a very long time, spreading out or "growing". One in particular was even more strange than the others.....it seemed to be "falling" earthward, much as water droplets will. These "droplets" seemed to be equally spaced along the entire length of the contrail. "
